KIRA KIRA AND AKOMO ISSEKI DIRECT BOOKING - LIVEABOARD DIVE BOATS INDONESIA

the unesco Constructions, by the konjo boat builders of south sulawesi

Sisters, hand crafted for liveaboard diving Indonesia, on the beaches of Mandala Ria, in the village of Ara, and at the Bonto Bahari Boatyards of Tanah Beru, using Tropical Hardwoods from the forests of Kendari…

Both traditional Pinisi style vessels, boast four cabins and communal dining areas, covered dive decks and large sun areas…  Each dressed with Teak Ketch masts and a Marconi sail rig…  Powered entirely by the Sun’s rays, we motor at 7 knots and sail with the winds…

Their hull, sat atop a double Ironwood keel, the body first shaped over fires, ribs crafted thereafter from Bitti timbers, closed with a thick Jati deck…  The cabins cut from Kendoli and Teak boast large beds and are naturally vented...

Crewed by the Bugis, that once ruled the waves during the historic Spice Islands trade, from Bira in South Sulawesi…  Known for life at sea, under sail…  Blessed with local tradition, Kira Kira was launched in 2014, Akomo Isseki in 2018, both, a long life ahead of them…

Combining classical appeal with 21st Century technology, Kira Kira and Akomo Isseki feature low lying superstructures with a large deck covering the bow to stern, resulting in a craft that offers not only a subtle form, but also sails safe on our magical journeys across the seas...

These beautiful sail ships, can venture thousands of nautical miles, seeking the best scuba diving in Indonesia, and are highly economic...  Both were built environmentally conscious, both run all electrical systems from solar panels in order to reduce emissions and operational noise, we are extremely proud of our ability to offer silent nights and an eco-friendly operation, so you can truly capture the sounds of the ever resonating jungle and shore lapping seas ...  We provide clean freshwater on board, 3,000 liters stored in the ship’s tanks...  A charging station for electrical items is operated daily for generous periods making Kira Kira and Akomo Isseki some the most environmentally friendly Liveaboards in Indonesia...
