Why We’re Different

There are hundreds of liveaboard websites that promise luxury, five-star service, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

We don’t.

We promise something much harder to fake.

We’re Small — On Purpose

We take a maximum of 8 guests on board.
Not because we can’t take more — but because we don’t want to.

Small groups mean:

  • quieter dive decks

  • flexible dive plans

  • no rushing, no cattle-calls

  • real conversations, not polite small talk

Big operators talk about “personal service.”
We live it — because with 8 guests, there’s nowhere to hide.

You’re Not a Booking Reference Number

From the moment you step onboard, you’re part of the boat.

  • We eat together

  • We dive together

  • We share stories, sunsets, bad jokes, and post-dive snacks

By the end of the trip, most guests don’t say goodbye — they say see you again.

That’s not branding.
That’s what happens when trips are genuinely personal.

Our Crew Is the Company

Our crew isn’t hired seasonally.
They’re not rotated through fleets.
They’re not flown in and out.

They are Indonesian.
They helped build the boats.
They’ve been with us since day one.

This matters more than people realise:

  • local knowledge isn’t learned from manuals

  • safety comes from experience, not slogans

  • hospitality comes naturally when people are proud of what they do

You’re not being “served”.
You’re being looked after by people who care deeply about their home waters.

We Don’t Sell “Luxury” — We Deliver Comfort Where It Counts

You won’t find marble bathrooms or gold-plated taps.

You will find:

  • comfortable cabins

  • excellent food (Indonesian flavours + familiar favourites)

  • relaxed common spaces

  • a boat that feels lived-in, not staged

We invest where it matters:

  • diving

  • safety

  • food

  • crew

  • atmosphere

Because that’s what you remember long after the trip ends.

We’re Honest About What We Are (and What We’re Not)

We are not a floating hotel.
We are not a party boat.
We are not a corporate liveaboard brand.

We are:

  • affordable without cutting corners

  • relaxed without being careless

  • adventurous without being reckless

If you’re looking for starched uniforms and scripted smiles, we’re probably not for you.

If you’re looking for real experiences with real people — welcome aboard.

Our Boats Go Where Big Boats Can’t

Because we’re small, we can:

  • access tighter anchorages

  • reach quieter sites

  • adapt routes to conditions

  • avoid the crowds

This isn’t something you can add later with a redesign or a marketing budget.

It’s built into the DNA of how we operate.

Sustainability Isn’t a Buzzword Here

We don’t claim to be perfect — no boat is.

But we do:

  • use solar power to reduce fuel use

  • limit single-use plastics

  • source food locally

  • operate within Indonesia’s marine regulations

  • support local communities

We don’t shout about it.
We just do it — every trip.

We’re Still Growing — And That’s a Good Thing

We’re not trying to become the biggest.

We’re growing carefully, intentionally, and only when demand truly exists.

The fact that we’re building our third boat isn’t a marketing milestone — it’s the result of guests coming back, recommending us, and asking for more trips.

That’s growth we’re proud of.

Who We’re For

Liquid Adventures Indonesia is for people who:

  • value experiences over appearances

  • enjoy small groups and shared moments

  • appreciate great food, good diving, and genuine hospitality

  • don’t need luxury labels to feel looked after

If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
