How many dives are included and how are dive sites selected?

Each scheduled trip outlines the approximate number of dives. Final site selection can change due to weather and safety; the crew aims to take guests to the best available sites.

What certification level do I need?

Minimum Advanced (or Deep specialty) is required. Site choices and groups are matched to safety, comfort, and ability; bring your cert card and we strongly recommend valid dive insurance.

What are boarding and arrival guidelines?

Arrive at the departure location at least a day before boarding. Exact boarding and arrival times are specified per schedule and can vary with sea conditions.

What water temperatures should I expect and what suit is recommended?

Raja Ampat typically ~27–30°C (3–5 mm suit). Komodo’s north ~26–28°C (3–5 mm), south can average ~24°C where a 5 mm plus a vest may be preferred.

Diving insurance is strongly recommended due to the potential cost of treatment or chamber care. General travel/cancellation insurance is also advisable.

As the sun sets on another unforgettable season in Komodo National Park, we wrap up our final liveaboard trip aboard Kira Kira and Akomo Isseki — boats that have carried us through countless adventures, drift dives, and glowing sunsets.

From Manta Point to Castle Rock, our 2025 season in Komodo delivered thrills above and below the surface. We shared laughter, sunset beers, beach treks, and the company of divers from every corner of the globe.

And now, it’s time to weigh anchor and follow the wind east — toward Ambon, the Banda Sea, and the emerald labyrinth of Raja Ampat.

Heading East: A New Chapter Begins

Each year, our Komodo season ends in September. Why? Because nature dictates the rhythm of our routes — and October marks the beginning of calmer seas in the Banda Sea, a migration route for hammerhead sharks and an underwater landscape drenched in history.

From Ambon, we’ll explore the forgotten spice routes, dive on volcanic ridges, and sail into Raja Ampat, home to the world’s most biodiverse coral reefs.
